Karen Piper - vocals, originally from Rushville, Ohio, began her music career studying piano; later voice and was singing and playing at festivals, banquets, and community events in her early teens. She has sung many genres of music from American folk tunes to classical but truly enjoys singing the crowd favorites of jazz, standards, pop, and current country. Karen left the performing circuit to spend time raising her family, during those years off, she continued to sing with choruses and established a mixed quartet, which performed throughout Ohio for five years. Karen's degree is from Capital University, Columbus. She studied choral music with the director of the Lancaster Chorale and studied jazz and pop with vocal coach Michelle Horsefield, noted Columbus jazz instructor. Karen is an independant software instructor and consultant and enjoys swimming, the ocean, and relaxing on the beach whenever possible.
